Nail Sticker FAQs
What's the difference between 3D and 5D Embossed Nail Stickers?
- 5D Embossed stickers have a more pronounced, higher-relief texture that you can really feel, offering a hyper-realistic, almost sculpted look.
- 3D stickers have a more subtle raised effect, perfect for everyday wear.
Can I use your stickers with regular nail polish?
Yes, you absolutely can!
For the best results, apply the sticker after your nail polish is completely dry.
However, for maximum longevity and to best protect the sticker's texture (especially for our 5D stickers), we always recommend sealing it with a high-quality gel top coat.
How do I get the stickers to last longer?
The key is a good top coat! After applying the sticker to a clean, dry nail surface, press it down firmly, ensuring all edges are sealed. Then, apply one or two thin layers of a quality gel top coat and cure it under a UV/LED lamp. This will protect the sticker from daily wear and tear. TUTORIAL HERE
How do I safely remove the stickers?
Removal is easy and gentle on your nails!
- If sealed with a gel top coat, simply file off the top coat and soak off the remaining gel as you normally would.
- If used with regular nail polish, a standard nail polish remover will dissolve the polish and the sticker along with it. The sticker itself will not damage your natural nail.
Can I apply stickers on top of gel extensions or acrylics?
Yes! Our stickers work beautifully on natural nails, gel polish, gel extensions, acrylics, and dip powder. Just make sure the surface is clean, dry, and smooth before application for the best adhesion.
What is a Water Transfer Decal and how is it different?
Unlike our 3D/5D stickers which have a self-adhesive back, a water transfer decal is an ultra-thin design printed on a special paper. You cut out the design, soak it in water for a few seconds to release it from the backing, and then slide it onto your nail. They are known for being incredibly thin and seamless, looking almost like they're painted directly on the nail.
Nail Transfer Foil FAQs
What do I need to use your Nail Transfer Foils?
Our transfer foils are not regular stickers and require a special adhesive to work. For a flawless transfer, you will need our Pro Foil Transfer Gel (or a similar foil glue) and a UV/LED lamp to cure the gel.
How do I apply the transfer foil?
It's a simple process! Watch Full TUTORIAL HERE.
- Apply a thin layer of Pro Foil Transfer Gel over your cured base color and cure it under the lamp.
- Press the foil (pattern side up) firmly onto the sticky nail surface.
- Gently peel back the foil sheet, and the design will have transferred to your nail.
- Seal with a top coat to finish!
Why isn't my foil transferring correctly?
The most common reason is the foil transfer gel. Ensure you are applying a thin, even layer and that it's cured for at least 60s to reach its optimal stickiness. Also, make sure to press down firmly and evenly across the entire nail surface before peeling.
How do I avoid wrinkles or creases when applying foil?
Great question! For a smooth finish, use a silicone nail art tool or your fingertip to press the foil down, starting from the center of the nail and smoothing outwards towards the edges. This helps push out any air bubbles and ensures the foil lays flat against the curve of your nail before you peel it away.
Nail Tools & Prep FAQs
What should I do to prep my nails before applying stickers or foils?
Proper prep is key for longevity! Start by gently pushing back your cuticles and shaping your nails. Then, lightly buff the nail surface to remove any shine. Finally, cleanse the nail with an alcohol wipe to remove any dust and oils. This creates the perfect canvas for your nail art.
What kind of UV/LED lamp do you recommend?
For our products, we recommend a lamp with at least 36 watts of power to ensure a proper and thorough cure for all gel polishes, top coats, and foil transfer gels. Our Precision Flash Cure Lamp is perfect for detailed work, while a full-size lamp is best for curing the entire hand.
What is "flash curing" and is it enough for a full manicure?
"Flash curing" is a technique used to quickly set or "freeze" gel in place for a few seconds, which is perfect for securing nail tips, charms, or preventing intricate designs from moving. Our Precision Flash Cure Lamp is designed for this specific purpose. However, a flash cure is not a full cure. You will still need to cure the entire hand in a full-size UV/LED lamp for the recommended time (usually 60-120 seconds) to ensure the gel is fully hardened and durable.
